Some clients now ask for a place they saw in a campaign film rather than for a region, and Thailand's latest campaign shows the scale. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reported on 15 September that its Amazing Thailand Ambassador campaign with the Thai artist LISA, launched at Wat Arun in Bangkok on 28 January 2026, had passed 448 million media exposures and 89.4 million views of its films. Our Thailand team lists the eight locations in its briefing on the campaign. This note sets out how to turn any campaign a client has seen into something they can book, in any of our four destinations.
Start From the Official List
Use the tourism authority's own list of locations, not the ones a client remembers from social media. For the LISA campaign, TAT named eight: Wat Arun in Bangkok, Wat Chedi Luang in Chiang Mai, the Red Lotus Sea in Udon Thani, Khao Sok National Park in Surat Thani, Choui Fong Tea Plantation in Chiang Rai, Koh Talu in Rayong, Wat Phutthabat Suthawat in Lampang and Phu Langka in Phayao.
Check What the Campaign Actually Changed
TAT reported that visitors to the Red Lotus Sea rose 79.66% in February 2026, and visitors to Khao Sok National Park rose 34% from February to June 2026. Figures like these tell you where demand has really moved and where a site may now be busier than a client expects. Where no figure is published, do not assume one.

Fit Locations Into Trips Clients Already Take
Sell campaign locations as add-ons, not as a separate tour. In Thailand, Wat Arun and Wat Chedi Luang sit inside the two cities most clients already visit, so they are the easiest to add. The northern locations in Lampang, Phayao and Chiang Rai join up on one road journey from Chiang Mai.
Respect the Season
Many filmed places are seasonal. The Red Lotus Sea is a cool-season sight, best early in the morning, and a national park's trails and boat trips can change at the end of the rains. Confirm opening times and seasons before you quote a date.

Match the Product to the Client
Campaign-led add-ons suit younger travellers, fans and social-media-led clients who want to stand where the films were shot, and repeat visitors looking beyond the first-trip circuit. A client on a short first visit is usually better served by the classic highlights.
Sell the Place, Not the Film
Do not promise the same light, the same crowds or access to anywhere closed to the public. Time temple visits for early morning, when they are quieter and cooler, and describe each site as it is on the day the client will see it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the LISA Amazing Thailand campaign?
TAT's Amazing Thailand Ambassador campaign with the Thai artist LISA, titled "Feel All the Feelings, Seeking Thailand's Wonders". It launched at Wat Arun on 28 January 2026.
How far did the campaign reach?
TAT reported more than 448 million media exposures and 89.4 million views of the campaign films by 15 September 2026.
Should campaign locations be sold as a separate tour?
Usually not. They work best as add-ons to a programme the client already wants, with seasons and opening times confirmed first.
Does this approach apply outside Thailand?
Yes. Start from the official list of locations, check any published visitor figures, respect the season and sell the place rather than the film, in any destination.
