There will be more nonstop seats from Paris to Thailand this winter. Air France plans five Paris–Phuket flights a week from 16 December 2026 to 21 February 2027, up from three, and Thai Airways goes from seven to 14 Paris–Bangkok flights a week from 1 December 2026. Our Thailand team covers the routes and the French market in its briefing on Thailand's French market. Here we look at what the extra seats mean for agents who plan long stays.
What Changed
- Air France, Paris–Phuket. The route started on 27 November 2025 with three flights a week. For winter 2026/27, schedule data reported by AeroRoutes shows five a week from 16 December to 21 February.
- Thai Airways, Paris–Bangkok. Two flights a day instead of one from 1 December 2026, as part of the airline's winter schedule.
- Schedules can still change. Check the airline's own schedule for your dates before you ticket a group.

Why Long Stays Matter
TAT figures put the average French stay in Thailand at just over 17 days. That is long enough for two or three centres: Bangkok, then the north or the old capitals, then a week on the coast.
French passport holders are in Thailand's 30-day visa-exemption group, so a two- or three-week holiday fits. Anything longer needs a visa or an extension, so check the current rules before you sell it.

Planning the Trip
- Start or finish on the beach. With more Phuket flights, the beach week can come first or last without a domestic connection.
- Book guides early. French-speaking guides are in demand from December to February, so request them when you confirm the trip.
- Hold rooms for the holidays. Christmas and New Year fall inside the window when the extra Phuket flights operate.
- Adding another country. If the client wants to stop in Japan or Korea on the way home, check that country's entry rules for French passports separately.
