Diwali in Thailand 2026: Seven Evenings for Indian Groups

26 October 2026 · Explera DMC · 3 min read

The short answer

For Diwali in Thailand 2026, Indian travel media report seven events in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket between 3 and 29 November, around Diwali night on 8 November. TAT has not yet posted the full programme. Explera DMC treats every date as provisional and fits the evenings into groups that are in Thailand anyway.

Last year Diwali in Thailand was one neighbourhood. This year it is three cities. For anyone selling Thailand to Indian clients, that is a useful thing to know in early November, as long as nobody treats the dates as fixed yet. Our Thailand team has the full Grand Diwali Festival briefing. Here is the short version of Diwali in Thailand 2026 for agencies.

What Has Been Reported for Diwali in Thailand 2026?

Outlook Traveller and Esquire India both name TAT as the organiser and give the same schedule:

  • Bangkok: an opening at Central Bangrak on 3 and 4 November, a riverside event at ICONSIAM from 6 to 8 November, a return to Phahurat and Khlong Ong Ang from 20 to 24 November, and a close at EmQuartier from 26 to 29 November.
  • Pattaya: Central Festival Pattaya Beach from 7 to 15 November, and Beach Road from 13 to 15 November.
  • Phuket: Central Festival Patong on 8 November, Diwali night itself.

When this was written, TAT's own newsroom had not posted the 2026 programme. In 2025, the first edition, TAT ran the festival from 16 to 31 October in Phahurat, Bangkok's Little India, and along Khlong Ong Ang.

How Do We Use It for Indian Groups?

  • As an evening, not a reason to fly. It works best for groups already in Thailand: a wedding party arriving early in the month, an incentive group in Pattaya mid-month, or clients who want Diwali night somewhere new.
  • Rooms first. Early November is the start of the high season, so we secure the hotel before we fit the festival evenings around the programme.
  • Vegetarian and Jain menus, a vehicle on standby, a guide who knows the area. Phahurat's lanes are narrow and crowded on the main nights.
  • Visa and shopping. Indian passport holders are in Thailand's 30-day visa-exemption group under the rules in force since 15 September 2026, and TAT's ASEAN India+ Shoppers campaign runs until the end of November.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. The reported venues are Central Bangrak, ICONSIAM, Phahurat and Khlong Ong Ang, and EmQuartier in Bangkok; Central Festival Pattaya Beach and Beach Road in Pattaya; and Central Festival Patong in Phuket.
