Hotel Gajoen Tokyo in Meguro joins Hilton's LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in 2027, with 60 rooms and about 5,700 square metres of event space. Explera DMC uses it first as a venue for gala dinners, launches and conference days, and pairs it with a second hotel when a group needs more rooms.
Sixty rooms and 5,700 square metres of event space is an unusual ratio for a luxury hotel, and it tells you how to sell Hotel Gajoen Tokyo. When it becomes an LXR hotel in 2027, it is an event venue first and a place to sleep a group second. Our Japan team covers the change in its Gajoen note. This page is the group version.
What Changes When Hotel Gajoen Tokyo Joins LXR?
- A Hilton luxury brand from 2027. Hilton announced in June 2026 that the Meguro hotel will join LXR Hotels & Resorts. Brookfield owns it and Hilton manages it.
- The first LXR in Tokyo. It will be the brand's second hotel in Japan, after ROKU KYOTO.
- 60 rooms and five restaurants. Suites run larger than 100 square metres, and there is a spa and a fitness centre.
- About 5,700 square metres of event space. The site also includes the Hyakudan Kaidan, a wooden building from the 1930s whose painted rooms are linked by a long staircase.

How Do We Plan Group Events Around It?
- The event here, the beds elsewhere. A gala dinner, a product launch or a conference day uses the space well. For a large group we house most delegates in a second hotel and bring them in by coach.
- The whole hotel for a small luxury group. A board meeting or a top-tier incentive can take the suites and keep the programme private.
- A cultural evening. The painted rooms of the Hyakudan Kaidan can frame a reception, subject to the hotel's own access rules.
- A second venue in every plan. Until LXR rates and an exact 2027 date are released, every proposal we send carries an alternative.
