Why Does Songtei Kyoto Matter for Luxury Groups?

The site is the story. The hotel stands on the former residence of the Kyoto Shoshidai, the office that spoke for the shogunate in the imperial city.
The view is the castle. Rooms and suites are laid out to look toward Nijo Castle's northern gate and its gardens.
It is small. 77 rooms and suites. That is a private-client or small-incentive hotel, not a conference hotel.
It is new to almost everyone. It is only the second hotel in the Signatures collection, so your clients will not have stayed in it before.

How Would We Use It in a Kyoto Programme?

As the base for a small top-tier group. A small group fits well; a bigger one needs a second hotel nearby.
With transfers planned around the west side. Gion, Arashiyama and Kyoto Station are all a drive away, so we build the coach plan around the hotel, not the other way round.
With the castle at night. Nijo Castle runs evening events in some seasons, and staying opposite makes that an easy add.
With a back-up held. Room types, restaurants and rates are not out yet, and the full opening is only "early 2027". We keep an alternative hotel in every proposal until Shangri-La confirms dates.
