The short answer

JUNGLIA OKINAWA is a forest theme park in northern Okinawa that opened on 25 July 2025. On 29 April 2026 it added the YAMBARU TORNADO, a 48-seat thrill ride for riders aged 4 and over and at least 120 cm tall. Explera DMC plans it as a full day from a hotel in the north.

Okinawa used to be a beach-and-diving sale with Shuri Castle on the side. JUNGLIA OKINAWA gives family and incentive groups a day of rides in the forested north of the main island, and since spring 2026 it has a big new thrill ride as well. What Is at JUNGLIA OKINAWA for Groups?

Rides set in the forest. A dinosaur safari and the Horizon Balloon, which lifts riders above the park, are the headline attractions.
The YAMBARU TORNADO. It opened on 29 April 2026 in the Jungle Extremes area, seats up to 48 people and climbs to about 20 metres.
Rules that affect families. Tornado riders must be at least 4 years old and 120 cm tall.
A day outdoors. Most of the visit is outside, in Okinawa's heat and rain.

How Would We Plan a JUNGLIA OKINAWA Day?

Sleep in the north. We base the group near the Motobu Peninsula for that night, not in Naha, and pair the park with the aquarium or the coast the next day.
Fix tickets before the date. We secure park tickets first and check which rides take a separate reservation.
Collect heights early. Ages and heights of every child go on the rooming list, so nobody is turned away at the Tornado.
Plan around the weather. We keep a covered fallback for heavy rain and build shade breaks into summer days.
